Merry-go-round of Death

This is basically how most applied physics should be taught to boys and is an excellent demonstration of the conservation of angular momentum and increasing mass and also just how dumb guys are.

The principle is that when the radial center of mass moves inward toward the axis, the inertia of the bodies traveling in a smaller circle results in the merry-go-round spinning faster proportional to the inverse of the radial center of mass.

If you watch, you can see the merry-go-round speed up when the riders pull in.... and it's harder to pull in than you'd think.
