First of all it's a really simple smart idea to use flashing led indicators rather than arms (or as well as) on city streets - kinda like the other vehicles.
It's very clever and well thought out and I hope it finds a commercial solution soon.
I also really like the idea of a way to say thanks to drivers. That has to be a good thing! (even if only used ironically)
